Mike, a student in our class, writes about what should be a useful workshop. Their flyer appears below and I have to say, Mike, I wish it were more visually appealing given it’s a data visualization workshop. Mike has a sense of humor. He can take it. (Update: Mike responded “Yeah, I know sorry. We automated flyer generation from our Google Calendar. We need some more designers and front end people in our group!”)
I just wanted to pass this on to you if you think it’s worth putting on the blog. I’m part of a group at Columbia called the Application Development Initiative (ADI) and we organized a workshop on data visualization using D3.js. Again unfortunately it is right smack in the middle of our problem session, Thursday 8 PM in Hamilton 306. I thought I’d pass it on though in case anyone is interested. The flyer is attached.
