I received this message from a student in our class about a data visualization event tomorrow at Columbia.
I’ve just come across this panel on data visualization tomorrow in Avery Hall:
Even if one can’t make it there (e.g., because one is going to the early lab session with Jared), it’s worth taking a look at their super cool poster showing a “network of 3500 19th-century novels clustered according to stylistic and thematic similarity. In general, books authored by men (blue) cluster separately from those by women (pink). Works by Mary Ann Evans, who wrote under the male pseudonym George Eliot, appear as an exception to the general trend (yellow).”
Maybe you could point to the panel on your (our) blog.
